- On the 5th January 2011, Australia were officially named as the host of the 2015 Asian Cup
- The 5 Cities that will host the tournament are – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Newcastle
- The Qualified Teams, after Asian Cup Qualification & Challenge Cup were – Australia (Hosts – they finished 2nd in 2011 Asian Cup), Japan (1st in 2011 Asian Cup), South Korea (3rd in 2011 Asian Cup), North Korea (2012 Challenge Cup Winners), Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Iran, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, China PR (Best Place Team in A.C Qual) And Palestine (2014 Challenge Cup Winners – 1st Time in the Asian Cup)
