Wednesday 25th May
FC Seoul 3-2 Urawa Red Diamonds – FC Seoul win 7-6 on pens after 3-3 on agg

No JLeague teams make it into the Quarter Final’s, FC Tokyo lost out on the away goal’s rule after losing the 2nd Leg 1-0 in China, Urawa lose 7-6 on penalties after going into extra time all square at Full Time on agg (2-2), in extra time it finished 3-3 on agg but Urawa lose on pens

2 clubs have been eliminated from the Asian Champions League in the Group Stage, Gamba Osaka are only on 2 points from there 5 games, not been a great ACL for Gamba and the same for Hiroshima, Hiroshima can’t catch Shandong Luneng who are on 10 points (Hiroshima on 6 points)

While FC Tokyo and Urawa Reds are close to the Round of 16, Urawa are mathematically through to the Round of 16 while FC Tokyo at least need to win against Binh Duong in the last matchday of the group stages on the 4th of May

Asian Champions League

There is 4 teams that will be in the Asian Champions League from the JLeague –
The 4 teams are,

Sanfrecce Hiroshima
Gamba Osaka
Urawa Red Diamonds
FC Tokyo

FC Tokyo have to start off in the play-off’s against either Chonburi or Yangon United (they play on the 2nd Feb) and the Play off round will be played on the 9th February, if FC Tokyo win that, they will be put into Group E with Jeonbuk Motors (Kor), Jiangsu Suning (Chn) and Becamex Binh Duong (Vie)

In the group stages, Sanfrecce Hiroshima are in Group F with FC Seoul (Kor), Buriram United (Tha) and the Winner of Play Off East 3

Gamba Osaka are in Group G with Melbourne Victory (Aus), Suwon Bluewings (Kor) and Winners of Play Off East 4

Urawa Red Diamonds are in Group H with Guangzhou Evergrande (Chn), Sydney FC (Aus) and Winners of Play Off East 1

The 1st Group Games will take place on the Tue 23rd/Wed 24th February
