Emperors Cup 2014 Final Result

Emperors Cup
Final

Gamba Osaka 3-1 Montedio Yamagata

Looking at the Final – Gamba Osaka set their sights on winning the Emperors Cup early after 4 minutes, Takashi Usami scoring the 1st goal of the game, then into the 22nd minute, Patric came up with the 2nd goal to give Gamba a 2-0 half time lead, but Yamagata got back into the game and halfed the deficit on 67 minutes thanks to a goal from Romero Berrocal Frank Lark (what a name) but that man Takashi Usami scores on 85 minutes to make the game safe and Gamba Osaka win their 3rd trophy of 2014, what a outstanding achievement by Gamba Osaka, wondered what their targets were for the season, they must of wanted a ACL (Asian Champions League) place, but 3 trophies must of excised those targets 10 fold, but well done to everyone who is connected with Gamba Osaka!!!

Japan in World Cup Brazil 2014 (Complete)

After being one of the 1st teams to qualify for the World Cup, Japan got drawn with Ivory Coast, Greece & Colombia in Group C, below are Japan’s games in Group C

Sun, 15th June – Arena Pernambuco, Recife – Ivory Coast 2-1 Japan – K Honda 16′
Thur, 19th June – Estadio das Dunas, Natal – Japan 0-0 Greece
Tue, 24th June – Arena Pantanal, Cuiaba – Japan 1-4 Colombia – Okazaki 45′ + 1′

So the 1st Group C ended in a defeat to Ivory Coast but it started all so well with Keisuke Honda scoring in the 16th minute with a cracking goal, but the cracks were starting to show near the end of the 1st half, but Japan got to half time 1-0 up against Ivory Coast, in the 2nd half, Ivory Coast brought on Drogba at about 60 mins and he made a impact with Bony Wilfried scoring on 64th min & Gervinho 66th min, the game finished 2-1 to Ivory Coast but it could of been more then that but the Japanese defence stopped the attacks on the Japan goal, but hopefully things will change for the next group game against Greece on Thursday the 19th June
A 0-0 against Greece & a 4-1 defeat against Colombia seal Japan’s exit of the World Cup, only getting 1 point from the 3 group games
