2015 AFC Champions League Draw (JLeague Teams)


The 4 Japanese Teams who Qualifed for ACL are:

Gamba Osaka (J1 Winners, Emperors Cup Winners & Nabisco Cup Winners)
Urawa Red Diamonds (J1 Runners Up)
Kashima Antlers (J1 3rd Place)
Kashiwa Reysol (Entering in Play-Off Round & J1 4th Place)

Kashiwa Reysol will play either Chonburi (Thailand) or Kitchee (Hong King) in the play off round, Chonburi v Kitchee will be played on the 10th Feb 2015 in the Preliminary Round, the Kashiwa play off round game will be played on the 17th Feb 2015, who ever wins the play off round game will go into Group E with Jeonbuk Hyundai (S Korea), Shandong Luneng (Chiba) & Becamex Binh (Vietnam)

Onto the other 3 JLeague teams –

Gamba Osaka were drawn in Group F with Seongnam FC (S Korea), Buriram United (Thailand) & Winner of Play off East 3 (could be either Central Coast Mariners (Aus), Guangzhou R&F (China), Yadanarbon (Burma) or Warriors (Singapore) after prem round/play off’s)

Urawa Reds were drawn in Group G with Brisbane Roar (Aus), Suwon Bluewings (S Korea) & Winner of Play off East 4 (could be either Beijing Guoan (China), Bangkok Glass (Thailand), Johor Darul Ta’zim (Malaysia) or Bengaluru (India) after prem round/play off’s

Kashima Antlers were drawn in Group H with Guangzhou Evergrande (China), Western Sydney Wanderers (Aus) & Winner of Play off East 1 (could be either FC Seoul (S Korea), Ha Noi T&T (Vietnam) or Persib Bandung (Indonesia) after prem round/play off’s)

On the Saturday, 6th December the Women’s World Cup draw was done in Canada, the Pot’s for the Women’s teams were:

Pot 1 – Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Nadeshiko Japan & United States
Pot 2 – Cameroon, Costa Rica, Côte d’Ivoire, Mexico, New Zealand & Nigeria
Pot 3 – Australia, China PR, Colombia, Ecuador, Korea Republic & Thailand
Pot 4 – England, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland

To The Draw:

Nadeshiko Japan were placed into Group C, from pot 2 Cameroon came out and placed in C3, from pot 3 Ecuador came out and placed in C4 & then in pot 4 Switzerland were placed into C2, so the 1st game of Group C for Nadeshiko Japan is against Switzerland on the Monday 8th June 2015
